Air circuit breakers use air as an arc extinguishing medium. When a circuit fails, they can quickly cut off the current and protect the circuit and equipment. Compared with other circuit breakers, they have higher breaking capacity and more precise adjustable parameters. Cuts Power in 0.1m (faster than a lightning strike!)
Tier 2 safeguards ：Built-in fire extinguisher
In the event of prolonged overloads or a short circuit in the BMS or a cell, the built-in automatic fire-suppression system triggers to extinguish any ignition and protect users and property. It also responds to externally generated heat or nearby fires by activating at elevated temperatures to limit thermal runaway and minimize battery damage.
The aerosol fire extinguisher in the battery pack activates automatically via a heat-sensitive trigger, releasing ultra-fine solid particles (usually potassium salts) that quickly vaporize in high heat.
Compared to traditional agents, aerosol extinguishers work without oxygen (crucial for lithium battery thermal runaway), are non-conductive (won’t short circuits), penetrate deeply into battery cells, leave minimal residue, and react within milliseconds, protecting sensitive BMS systems.
