Why does this matter?
EVE 334Ah can be regarded as a low-temperature battery cell. It supports charging at temperatures as low as -10°C, whereas most LiFePO₄ cells on the market can only be charged safely above 0°C. This is one of the biggest advantages of the EVE 334Ah.
With the EVE LF334, the low-temperature charging capability is built directly into the cells, allowing many installations to operate without a dedicated battery heating system.

Why must Deligreen do this?
Step 1-Capacity grading

Address the Barrel Effect
The overall performance of a battery pack is determined by its weakest cell. When cells with different capacities and internal resistance are used together, lower-capacity cells will reach full charge or discharge earlier, triggering BMS protection prematurely.
As a result, the pack cannot fully utilize its energy, and the capacity of other cells is wasted.
Eliminate Inherent Inconsistencies
Even within the same batch, cells have slight differences in capacity, internal resistance, and self-discharge due to production variations.
While negligible for single-cell use, these differences are amplified after pack assembly through repeated charge and discharge cycles, eventually leading to premature pack failure.
Prolong Battery Pack Lifespan
Industry data shows that battery packs without proper cell grading achieve only 30%–50% of the cycle life compared to packs with matched cells.
Proper cell matching significantly extends the overall lifespan and reliability of the battery system.

Step 2-Aging Test
The aging test, also known as the resting or storage test, is performed after cell formation. During this time, key parameters such as voltage and internal resistance are continuously monitored to evaluate self-discharge behavior.

A healthy cell shows minimal voltage drop during storage.
Cells with hidden defects, however, will exhibit rapid voltage loss.
Through aging tests, we can accurately identify and eliminate these defective cells.
If such cells were used in a battery pack, they would continuously drain energy from other cells, leading to imbalance, reduced performance, and potential safety risks.
2. Stabilize Internal Chemistry
The resting process helps stabilize the SEI (Solid Electrolyte Interphase) layer on the anode, improving long-term performance and enhancing cycle life.
3. Improve Reliability and Consistency
Aging allows internal stresses within newly formed cells to settle, ensuring more stable and predictable performance during real-world operation.
